The 416 Club series is back! This season with new hosts, and even more diverse local artists coming together in unexpected combinations for musical kinship, collaboration and exploration. This month's 416 Club is hosted by Orange Mighty Trio, with friends Japhlet Attias on solo Chapman stick, with guest tuba (the "stick" is played by hitting both hands on the strings of the instrument)...see it here on youtube), far-out jazz trio Badlands, and Poutoms, an all-star jazz-based group featuring Chris Thomson, Adam Linz (Fat Kid Wednesdays), and Alden Ikeda. Each group will play one set, but consider it likely each group may ask members of other groups to jam at certain points throughout the evening. We expect it to be an evening with good variety, where you can discover some cool new acts you may not have gotten to know yet.
