Molly MaherMolly MaherThe 416 Club presents the best of established and up-and-coming local artists in a relaxed evening showcase.

Americana musician Molly Maher sounds like she’s had her dose of wandering. Her guitar playing is rural and soulful. Breaking all convention, she plays it upside down and in different tunings. Her most recent release Balms Of Gilead made many “Best Of” lists in the Twin Cities.

Erik Koskinen has been called a latter-day Hank Williams (Senior). The Michigan native has been playing and recording his own style of Roots / Americana since he was 14 years old, carrying on the tradition of Dylan and Cash.

Take a trip to Southern Texas and let the authentic country music sounds of The Twin City Playboys wash over you like a warm breeze. The group features Texan native Kevin Anthony on acoustic guitar and vocals, Eric Paulson on stand up bass (bull fiddle), Al Epp on snare and Bill Quinn on lapsteel/dobro/pedal steel.

Matt Pudas & Friends started off as a side project for two members of The White Iron Band: Matt Pudas (guitar, harmonica & vocals) and Jeff Underhill (percussion). Blend in Doug Otto of the Getaways (guitar and vocals), Drew Druchery (slide guitar and mandolin), Rich Casey (bass), Chris Gray (percussion), and Shane Akers (dobro and lap steel) and you get a mix of bluegrass, folk, delta blues and country sounds.

Come early and stay for the whole evening, or drop in for an hour or so and sample some of the best music around in the optimal listening room conditions at The Cedar, and meet new friends. Tonight’s program is curated and hosted by Jackson Buck.
