Ani will be accompanied by bassist Todd Sickafoose, and one of the hottest drummers around, Allison Miller (chosen as "Rising Star Drummer" in Downbeat's 53rd Annual Critics Poll, and previously performed or recorded with Erin McKeown, Melissa Ferrick, Norah Jones, Natalie Merchant among many others). Ani will be touring in support of her upcoming first-ever retrospective release “Canon” (due out Sept 11 on Righteous Babe), which will feature 35 songs drawn from Ani’s massive output over the past 16 years. This will also be Ani’s first Twin Cities appearance since the birth of her first child in January 2007. Fellow outspoken and emotionally-charged singer-songwriter Melissa Ferrick will open.
