HaydenTickets go on sale Friday May 2 for four stupendous upcoming Cedar shows: at noon 5/2, tickets go on sale for the May installment of The 416 Club , this month curated by KFAI’s Jackson Buck, and featuring Molly Maher, Erik Koskinen, and Matt Pudas and friends (5/23). You will also be able to purchase tickets two of the hottest indie singer-songwriters around, Jeremy Messersmith with John Hermanson (of Storyhill, and The Hopefuls), coming up fast on 5/8. At 2pm 5/2, buy your tickets for a full band performance by Canadian artist Hayden showcasing his brand new album In Field & Town with help from opening act Haley Bonar (6/27), and Nation Beat (6/6)—see them before the unwashed masses do when they appear later in the summer at some of the best, and most diverse festivals out there, such as Ottawa Blues Fest, Montreal Jazz Festival, and Floydfest. Bill FrisellTickets go on sale Friday April 18 for three magnificent upcoming Cedar shows. At noon 4/18, youth rules when tickets go on sale for some of the youngest acts we've ever had at The Cedar, including a special curated evening of music entitled These Kids Today: A Showcase featuring Best Friends Forever, Lucy Michelle and the Velvet Lapelles, DJ Relax and Johann (5/29). You will also be able to purchase tickets for the young bluegrass sibling sensations, The Lovell Sisters (6/26). At 2pm 4/18, buy your tickets for an unforgettable journey with guitar innovator Bill Frisell, Greg Leisz, Rudy Royston and Tony Scherr (6/21). A limited number of tickets for premium reserved seats will be available only from the Cedar Ticketline (612-338-2674 ext 2), and Ticketweb. General admission tickets available from all outlets.

At noon 4/11, purchase your tickets early for a special morning children's concert by Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players (5/10). Also availabble at noon, tickets for acoustic guitarists New Roots Duo, featuring Ben Woolman and Dan Schwartz, and with guest vocals from Carin Vagle (5/1), and the hotly requested return of Chicago Afrobeat Project (5/9). At 2pm 4/11, get your tickets for two of the most mayhem-prone shows around, Asylum Street Spankers (5/18), and Th’ Legendary Shack*Shakers with a special pre-show screening of their film project, Seven Signs (5/20). Also on sale at 2pm, tickets for experimental acoustic trio 2 Foot Yard (5/30), featuring the stunning violin of Tin Hat's Carla Kihlstedt. At noon, get your tickets early for iconic British singer-songwriter and political activist Billy Bragg (6/13), celebrating 25 years in the business with his first new studio album in six years aptly titled Mr Love and Justice. You will also be able to buy tickets at noon for Gretchen Peters (4/17), striking out boldly after a self-confessed midlife crisis and divorce. At 2pm, collect your tickets for two of the hottest indie singer-songwriters around, the highly poetic Ms Laura Veirs, and the human lightning-bolt Liam Finn (5/13), and an intriguing insect-themed multimedia performance by Mirah and Spectratone International to accompany 12 short films Share This Place. TchekaTickets go on sale at noon Friday Mar 14 for some summery Cedar shows: Cape Verdean guiarist and singer Tcheka makes a return to the Cedar Stage on June 5; Portland's European cabaret-style act Vagabond Opera makes a first visit on June 12, and for all the fathers out there, a unique Fathers' Day show featuring the myriad talents of Papa John Kolstad, Pop Wagner, and Daddy Squeeze (Dan Newton) (June 15). At noon, purchase tickets for the fourth of our new 416 Club series of local artists presented by guest curators in a relaxed setting. April 416 Club (4/26) features Jon Rodine and friends. Tickets will also be available at noon for a great folk-blues double-bill: Geoff Muldaur with Charlie Parr (5/3).
