Based in Minneapolis, Dreamland Faces' repertoire consists of both “old-time” and modern standards, as well as originals, but chances are you haven’t heard them quite like this. The richness and depth of the group’s arrangements, the compelling contrast between each player’s individual approaches to accordion, not to mention McCormick’s fluid, pitch-perfect facility on the
saw, are undeniable. Even within the realm of accordion-driven acts, the duo has a distinctive musical voice, which is characterized by what one might describe as a “deadpan lightheartedness.”
