Orange Mighty Trio
Hailed as “maverick chamber music” by the Minneapolis CityPages, The Orange Mighty Trio (OMT) is an instrumental ensemble featuring Zack Kline on violin, Nick Gaudette on bass, and Mike Vasich on piano. The trio plays a variety of mostly original music, varying from subdued and beautiful to intense and virtuosic. Their compositions rely heavily on improvisation, and are influenced by classical minimalism, American roots music, and jazz. OMT's musical versatility has found them collaborating with modern dance companies, playing live shows across the country, and writing music for film. Currently, OMT is rehearsing a new show of music by Zack Kline to be premiered in January at the Cedar Cultural Center.
