Sam Amidon

Raised in Vermont by folk-musician parents and a regular performer in New York City’s blossoming indie-chamber music scene, Sam Amidon sings, and plays fiddle, banjo and guitar. Gliding easily from traditional folk to free jazz, Amidon recently has been touring and collaborating with a roster of renowned musicians including Shahzad Ismaily, Nico Muhly, Thomas Bartlett, Ben Frost,  and Valgeir Sigurðsson.  Amidon's latest album, I See the Sign, was released on Bedroom Community, and has met with rave reviews (Metacritic 86/100, universal acclaim).
