Ben Glaros CD release with very special guest Slim Dunlap

12/01/2007 - 8:00pm

Ben GlarosBen GlarosSlim DunlapSlim DunlapMinneapolis singer-songwriter Ben Glaros and a host of his talented friends and guests celebrate the release of Ben's new CD, Lovesong Roulette.
The new album features Ben on acoustic guitar, electric guitar and vocals, supported by a couple of the best rhythm section players in town, Greg Schutte on drums and Brian Roessler on bass. It also features guest performances by two amazing string players: Jacqueline Ferrier Ultan on cello and Zack Kline on fiddle and mandolin.
Co-produced by Michael Ferrier (Electropolis), the new disc represents even more complex dimensions than Glaros revealed in his lush acoustic debut CD Solo, and draws upon his many years of supporting others in the local music biz with his ace guitar work.

"The subtle tone of Glaros' voice and the subdued swoops of string instruments and delayed electric guitars
was mesmerizing, and his songs served as the perfect accompaniment to driving around Lake of the Isles late at night, watching the lights from the houses move in reflections across the water as his heartbroken, intimate folk music filled up my empty car.
"-Andrea Myers, ReveilleMag.com

"Ben Glaros is a stunningly gifted and underrated singer and songwriter..."
- Dan Israel, Dan Israel and the Cultivators

"A gentle soul shines through these songs"
- Brian Tighe, The Hang Ups / The Owls

Special guest for the evening: Slim Dunlap, with a rare solo acoustic set!
