Loudon Wainwright III with Meg Ashling
Veteran singer-songwriter Loudon Wainwright III returns to The Cedar, 40 odd years after the release of his first album in 1970. With help from his friend Judd Apatow, Loudon has seen fit to commemorate his rich body of work by releasing a 4-CD, 1-DVD career retrospective called 40 Odd Years. The songs range from early gem School Days to At The End of a Long Lonely Day and lots of ground between. There is also one brand new song, Dead Man. He's not going to be able to perform them all on stage tonight, but you can be sure to be well entertained by this master of pithy songwriting and mordant wit.
