Zany

David Lindley with Bernie Larsen

What he played did as much to form my music as my writing those songs...This is one of the great slide players of all time. (Jackson Browne, Rolling Stone 5/27/10)

Everything Is Terrible! Live!

Everything is Terrible! is the internet sensation video collective responsible for some of 2009's most intriguing viral videos. From Yogi Ogi Dogi - the yoga farmer teaching kids to stretch (creepily) to Cat Massage (just what you'd think), we are mining the VHS universe for all the best - and worst - bits. This isn't some youtube compilation site. Every video is original, and it's fantastic media art - and a great look into America's hidden past.

EIT!'s daily postings of genuinely ridiculous videos and out of context movie scenes ripped from old VHS releases have been hailed by MTV, Fox, Time, BoingBoing, Buzzfeed, WFMU, Videogum, Best Week Ever, The Soup, and Jezebel, while the CBC deemed it simply 'The best site ever.'

Brave Combo

Roll on Rocktober, let the polka party begin when Brave Combo stops by The Cedar. If you've never experienced the exuberance, the exhilaration, and the excitement, let nothing stand in your way. As for the rest of you, we'll see you back here! The band has been busy as ever, and have out a new album Kikiriki, with inspirations that span from Bee Gees to Beethoven!

“Describing Brave Combo to the uninitiated is like trying to explain cheese to someone who's never tasted it: You know they're gonna love it, if you could just convince 'em to try it. ….. Any human with a pulse will love this band. Yet it's hard to explain their music honestly without mentioning the P-word. Despite the fact that they rock to a rainbow of rhythms--bolero, bossa nova, bubblegum, cha cha, charanga, conjunto, cumbia, dirge, foxtrot, guaguanco, hora, huapango, mambo, merengue, Muzak, oberek, ondo, ranchera, rhumba, rock, salsa, samba, schottische, ska, stroll, tango, twist, two-step, waltz, and zydeco--they've always described themselves as a "nuclear polka" band. “

The Wiyos with My Sweet Patootie

The Wiyos

Wiyos of Oz Tour! In the spring of 2010, The Wiyos collaborated with Wichita State University's dance department to create an original theatrical production of dance and music entitled, ‘The Wiyos of Oz‘. This very successful run of seven shows inspired the contemporary vaudevillean band to compose their own original song cycle based on the 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz. The music and themes meld contemporary concepts with a wild interpretation of the original storyline. The show is funny, intense, and musically spectacular.
