One of the true stars to rise from the African continent, Senegalese master musician Baaba Maal has been making music for the world to enjoy for nearly two decades. Renowned for his fiery vocal performances and his musical fusion of western sounds with the traditional beats and melodies of West Africa, Baaba Maal has earned immense critical acclaim and has continually reinforced his role as a seminal artist in the world music arena. Searching for Elliott Smith documentary screening with Elliott Smith tribute concert

Midwest premier of a documentary about the legendary Portland singer/songwriter. Director Gil Reyes will be present for a Q&A after the screening. Prior to the screening, local artists including James Diers, Holly Newsom, Adam Svec, Robert Skoro, Jon Sunde, Ben Kyle, Benson Ramsey, Eliza Blue, Martin Devaney, and Chris Koza will perform covers of Elliott Smith songs.
