Jewish Family Services present Meg Hutchinson
Meg Hutchinson is a lyric-based, contemporary acoustic songwriter whose influences include poet Mary Oliver, songwriter Shawn Colvin, and mood maker David Gray. Originally from rural Massachusetts, Hutchinson is now based in the Boston area. She has won numerous songwriting awards in the U.S., Ireland and UK, including recognition from the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, Billboard Song Contest and prestigious competitions at
Merlefest, NewSong, Kerrville, Falcon Ridge, Telluride and Rocky Mountain Folks Festivals. She released both Come Up Full (2008), and her latest release The Living Side (2010) on St Paul's Red House Records. The Living Side won the 2010 Indie Acoustic Project Best Lyrics award.
