Canadian folk rockers Great Lake Swimmers return to The Cedar on tour in support of their fifth full length album New Wild Everywhere, the followup to 2009's breakout Lost Channels. They are joined by rising star Cold Specks, whose eerily penetrating 'doom soul' music is steeped in the musical traditions of the Deep South.

Atlas Sound with Carnivores and Frankie Broyles
Atlas Sound is the musical solo project by Bradford Cox of Deerhunter. His most recent album Parallax was described by All Music Guide as "a quietly satisfying album with a determined fragility that makes it all the more moving," whilst NME asserts "lyrically he remains sublime." And according to Mojo, the music is "best consumed in a semi-recumbent position, in order to match the loping, laidback pace of the music and Cox's stoned, oak-aged vocals."

Canadian post-rock band make the trek to The Cedar! Opening tonight will be The Cloak Ox, the new project by Andrew Broder, Martin Dosh, Mark Erickson and Jeremy Ylvisaker.

Melodic and hard-hitting horn lines create a lyrical flow to the music of Chicago Afrobeat Project, undercut by a hypnotic, driven rhythm section. Complex call-and-response percussion songs are dispersed throughout the dynamic live performances. This is a band that will keep you moving on the wide open dance floor all night!
