The event “A Concert for the Animals” is a benefit for The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota, located in St. Paul.

Glenn has gathered an impressive group of musicians to play including his teachers and inspirations. John Ganapes, Jerry Grote, Phil Heywood, Dakota Dave Hull, Lonnie Knight, Tim O’Brien, Bruce Phelps, Jerry Rau, Herb Reinke, David Roos, Steve Rouch, Jon Vezner, and some surprise guests to be announced!Elvig is recognized internationally for his furniture design work, but his musical journey began in the sixties, fronting for the Detroit based group Calvin Brown and the Soul Patrol. Most recently he has been performing in the Twin Cities, including an appearance at a fundraiser for the Minnesota Orchestra auxiliary, WAMSO, where he opened for California based, Johnny Smith. On occasion, you may find him sitting in locally with his good friend Tim O’Brien, and his band, The Tim O’Brien Project.

Elvig’s music is a blend of Texas country blues, humor, love-gone-good songs, and well-seasoned ponderings. This is his second appearance at The Cedar and he will perform “Lyle Lovett’s Got My Hat” and “Ray Bonneville” from his upcoming CD.
