Ani DiFrancoAni's coming back! The Cedar is proud to present iconic feminist singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco in concert at the State Theatre a few days after the Sept 30 release of her new album Red Letter Year. "I've got myself a new mantra," Ani shares on the new album. "It says `Don't forget to have a good time.'" This attitude has clearly influenced the dozen tunes on Red Letter Year, which celebrate existence, profess love and tackle thorny political issues with an infectious sense of glee. It's one of Ani's most joyous records to date. Don't miss hearing these great new songs, new stories, and most of all, irrepressible Ani in a memorable evening.

Spoken word poet and emcee for hip-hop family Doomtree, Minneapolis' own Dessa will open!

Music Starts:8:00 pm

StoryhillStoryhillThe Cedar welcomes back Chris and Johnny, who together make up popular acoustic folk duo Storyhill, now part of the Red House Records family. Chris and John have been keeping busy, what with summer festivals to organize, writing new songs, working on side musical projects, and some regional touring. However, it always comes down to doing what they like best: performing in front of an enthusiastic hometown audience, reveling in the shared energy and passion for good music. Please come and be part of it!

Iowa folkie singer-songwriter Chad Elliott will open.
