For over 25 years, BiL have been innovators in bringing “folk music” kicking and screaming to rock audiences (and rock music to screaming folk audiences!) BiL’s many instrumental dance tunes incorporate global influences, rhythms, and melodies that are...

If you didn't go last night you missed what is IMO the best show they've done at the Cedar since the first time they came out in this incarnation.

Despite the 'acoustic' tag, Lead can still get pretty gosh darn heavy, but for the real crunch go to the St Patrick's Day show at 1st Ave.

Is the Boiled in Lead concert on December 15th acoustic, electric, or both? I've only seen them acoustic and want to see them do some heavier electric stuff.

I put your question to Drew of BiL Here's his response:

"We have a saying "If you can hear it, it's acoustic!"
The long answer is that we generally don't set up the drum kit at Cedar, nor do we play electric guitars there. Usually. But both have been known to happen in the past."

Thanks for the comment.
