Wars of 1812 posterSinger-songwriter Chris Koza has been on a roll since the release of his acclaimed fourth album, 2008's The Dark, Delirious Morning, touring and playing lots of shows, and writing some new material. Welcome him back to The Cedar with this choice triple-bill also featuring The Wars of 1812, sadly to be their last show together as a band but heading out with both guns blazing, and JoAnna James. We've missed having JoAnna play at The Cedar since she took off for Los Angeles a year so back--and we're thrilled that she can make a quick stopover and catch up with all her old friends in town, and play us some of her new songs.

"Koza knocks the listener off balance by pairing his avant-garde lyrical inclinations with precise folk-pop melodies of a largely traditional bent delivered in a clear, pleasing tenor, recalling ’70s singer-songwriters like Jackson Browne and Paul Simon in the process."
-- Rob Van Alstyne, Pulse of the Twin Cities; Minneapolis, MN
