Singer-songwriter David Wilcox brings the acoustic guitar out for his first tour stop at The Cedar. The songs on David Wilcox's sixteenth studio album Open Hand were recorded in seven days in December of 2008. Musicians Dan Phelps (guitar & keyboard), Jon Evans (bass guitar & upright bass) and James McAlister (drums & percussion) along with David Wilcox exemplify perfectly what can happen when a recording becomes more than the sum of its parts. Striking a balance between traveling for shows and being at home in Asheville, North Carolina with his family, Wilcox compares the two worlds of touring and creativity at home as being akin to the in breath and the out breath – inspiration and expression.

Tickets are on sale now from the Cedar Ticketline (612-338-2674 ext 2), Cedar outlets and online at Ticketweb.
