After his sold out performance with Eliza Gilkyson and John Gorka at The Cedar in November 2008 as the Grand Finale of the Red House Records 25th Anniversary Tour (now available as a special live digital download!), singer-songwriter Cliff Eberhardt returns with a CD release concert, celebrating his fourth recording for Red House, 500 Miles-- the Blue Rock Sessions. Tucked away in the Texas Hill Country, Cliff recorded the twelve tracks in the legendary Blue Rock Studio with some of the cream of Austin's music scene. Capturing the open space and creative spirit that flourishes at Blue Rock, each track swaggers with a sexiness that hovers like the Texas heat. Cliff's soulful grit and vocal prowess deliver each line with vitality and emotional depth in an album that is atmospheric and powerful. The dazzling originals that make up the backbone of the record are accentuated by solid covers including a stunning reworking of John Hiatt's "Back of My Mind" as well as a refined rendition of Cliff's 1990 classic "The Long Road." A song made richer with the insight of 20 additional life years. Together, the 12 tracks are a powerful testament to the distances we travel in a constant search for home.

Also on the bill tonight, popular folk duo Storyhill!Storyhill
