Denton, Texas indie folk-rock band Midlake touring in support of their third album The Courage of Others (Bella Union).  Following 2006's highly acclaimed, breakthrough album, 'The Trials of Van Occupanther', the new album looks to a slightly earlier, and definitely British, trad-tainted, darker folk sound.

Opening will be Jason Lytle (of Grandaddy) and John Grant, former singer/songwriter with The Czars, who has just released his debut solo album Queen of Denmark, made in participation with Midlake.

Tickets are on sale now from the Cedar Ticketline (612-338-2674 ext 2), First Avenue and their outlets, and online at Ticketmaster.

Standing room only. All Cedar shows are all ages.
