The Cedar advises that this show has been rescheduled for August 4, 2010. Ticket-holders: all existing tickets will be honored for the new date. If you are unable to attend on August 4, please consult the Cedar Ticket Refund Policy.

Here's the official statement from the band's agent:

Balkan Beat Box's lead singer, Tomer fell two meters from an elevated stage in France last week. Due to an unstable monitor falling over.  He was hospitalized. As of this morning, he is still in deep pain -- the bruising is deep on shoulder and ribs, and his fractured bones will take time to heal.  Management had hoped that a week of resting would reveal marked improvement. But the bones are not closed, and are slow to heal.  The doctor says it is dangerous to move him on an overseas trip.  Also, he cannot sing or lift anything like suitcases, or play the timbales, bongos, and percussion due to the fractured ribs so he does not feel that he can deliver the kind of high energy show that people expect from BBB. Their entire June U.S. run has been cancelled. Some shows are able to be re-scheduled to August.

Balkan Beat Box is centered around its two founders: saxophone player Ori Kaplan and drummer/programmer/producer Tamir Muskat. After having been active for over a decade in some of NYC's premier underground bands (including Gogol Bordello, Firewater, Big Lazy, Shotnez), they joined forces with charismatic MC Tomer Yosef and brought together their combined experiences and ideas to create the powerhouse called Balkan Beat Box. Welcome BBB back to The Cedar as they play tracks from their brand new album Blue Eyed Black Boy (out April 27). One of the most energetic bands The Cedar has ever hosted...absolutely not to be missed!

Tickets are on sale now from the Cedar Ticketline (612-338-2674 ext 2), Cedar outlets, and online at Ticketweb.
