Colin Hay

An evening with the former Men at Work front man, still very much a man at work as he enjoys a thriving solo career, thanks to the multitude of fans who not only know him through the classics, but also through his terrific songs featured on TV shows Scrubs, and Army Wives, and films Garden State and Morning Glory. This year sees Colin releasing his 11th solo album, Gathering Mercury (Mar 29, Compass Records), with ten brilliant new songs!

Most artists who have experienced the levels of success and adulation Colin Hay has would be content to sit back and earn a living walking to the mailbox and back. Yet Hay is restless, eager to move forward and continually hone his craft while continuing to challenge himself.

Hay's solo shows intersperse classic and new songs with hilarious, poignant, and downright surreal stories drawn from his often unbelievable experiences over the past three decades. "I've been doing these solo tours for a number of years," he explains, "going back to the same places and building audiences by doing the best shows I can."  Themes of redemption and renewal come naturally to Colin Hay, as he is in the midst of a remarkable renaissance. Join the renaissance, and catch Colin at his animated best, live in concert!

Presented by The Cedar, but show is at the Pantages Theatre, Minneapolis. Tickets are on sale now  from Ticketmaster, the State Theatre Box Office (Monday - Friday, 10am - 6pm or Saturday, 12pm - 3pm) or by phone: 1.800.982.2787
