Michael Gaughan (who has previously collaborated with the Walker Art Center, the Portland Institute of Contemporary Art, the University of Minnesota, and Minneapolis College of Art and Design to create citywide clue-by-clue bike scavenger hunt concerts) is teaming up with The Cedar to bring Minneapolis another adventure!
On Saturday, August 20th, participants will meet at The Cedar at 11:45 a.m. for directions to the starting point, break up into ten competing teams and will start solving clues to get from place to place. This adventure will be an action-packed bike ride/public art event with site-specific, artful and clever clues ranging from traditional to absurd, from easy to elite, from sensorial to academic. Participates can expect to use teamwork, critical thinking, intuition, memory, smart phones, different senses, and raw energy to work through physical obstacles, mental challenges, problem solving exercises, puzzles, and secrets. The journey will be enhanced with elements of surprise performances, public art, music, and more!
