Give to the Max Day 2011
Support The Cedar! The Cedar is special. In 2009, Sharon Van Etten said to her audience,“I hope you guys know how lucky you are to have a place like this.” Thanks, Sharon! We think so, too.
What other city has a music venue that presents artists like we do and operates as a non-profit? This means we choose our programs based on what drives our mission of promoting inter-cultural appreciation and understanding, and not on profitablilty. This allows us to host interesting artists that wouldn't normally visit the Twin Cities, give away concert tickets to community groups, engage K-12 students in educational programs, and support other organizations by hosting benefits and gatherings. Your donation supports live music and demonstrates your gratitude for The Cedar’s work. Here's how to give on November 16:
1) Click here
2) Donate $25 or more (make sure your donation is NOT anonymous so we can follow up)
3) Get a guest list spot to a Cedar show (donors will receive a follow-up email by Friday, Nov 18)
4) Forward the link to your friends and family
WHAT’S GIVE TO THE MAX? It’s a 24-hour fundraising drive for Minnesota's nonprofit organizations. Last year $10,000,000 was raised for MN nonprofits in just 24 hours.
WHY TODAY?
1) Perks: Support us, and we’ll surprise you! We’re offering everyone who gives $25 or more TODAY a guest list spot to an upcoming show. You don’t pick the show, so you'll probably experience something new. Donors will get a follow-up email by Friday, Nov 18.
2) Get a golden ticket: One donor will be randomly chosen every hour to have $1,000 added to their donation. The more donors we have, the better our chances are to win a golden ticket!
3) Win the grand prize in 1 of 3 categories: Nonprofits will compete in 3 categories, each with their own leaderboard, for prize grants of $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000 based on the most dollars raised.
Your donation supports live music and demonstrates your gratitude for The Cedar’s work. We rely on contributions to make our programming possible and accessible. Thank you.
