7:00pm

Hosted by local label mpls ltd, this month's 416 Club features new releases for two emerging groups: Birds of Virginia and The Starfolk. Birds of Virginia is inspired by trees, stars, water, love and sadness to produce a mosaic of three-part harmony, twinkling strings, jangling guitars, and fluid backbeats. Group members include Leonard James (Vocals and Guitar), Amy Linnea (Viola and Vocals), Sam Gelfand (Bass and Vocals), Mike Bybliw (Drums and Vocals), and Andre Buchenot (Spirit Guide). This will be their debut CD release.

The Starfolk is a musical enterprise just lifting off. Featuring members of Minneapolis indie pop mainstays "The Owls" and "The Hang Ups," The Starfolk bandmates Brian Tighe, Allison LaBonne, Stephen Ittner and Jacqueline Ultan make music combining elements ranging from chamber pop to psych/folk/rock to atmospheric/experimental. They're releasing a 7" vinyl release.

Opening acts will be The Lower 48, and Zoo Animal.

Tickets available at the door.
