Local Cuban son band Malamanya have built up for themselves a sizeable following after their summer residency at the Driftwood bar. Now, they step out in style with their first headlining gig at The Cedar! The fabulous Jack Klatt and the Cat Swingers open tonight.

Malamanya is a Minneapolis-based group that celebrates the traditional rhythms and melodies of Cuban son, salsa, samba, and the country music of Central and Latin America. The group's acoustic driven dance rhythms draw on the organic form of simpler times....
