Though today's world is a complicated place, I find myself living a simple life with my music. There is an unbroken thread that follows us from the beginning to the end, and at this point in my life, the thread circles me with love. It occurs to me as I write this that it is my 66th birthday. Who would have thought that life would be this good?"
Mandolin maestro Barry Mitterhoff has toured extensively with Jorma and Hot Tuna, and with other musical luminaries including Tony Trischka, Tom Chapin, Hazel Dickens, and Margot Leverett's Klezmer Mountain Boys, as well as contributed music to films O Brother Where Art Thou, Mickey Blue Eyes, and others.
