About Charlie Parr

A confused and shy individual, Charlie Parr plays original and traditional folk and rural-style blues, accompanying himself on National resonator guitars, 12-string guitar and a fretless banjo. Parr has failed at most things in his life. Music seems to have rendered him unemployable and is the only thing he’s ever done with any confidence. A lot of folks have been saying nice things about Charlie, despite the lingering odors and indecipherable comments he makes. It says a lot about folks; they’re hanging in there with him, in spite of himself.

She ordered your CDs while still in Boston. She called me when she arrived back in Terre Haute IN saying "Charlie Parr is magical the CDs were waiting for me along with a note from you." She says you were in Alaska at the time, so this sounds like a Santa in Oct moment. Her dogs, cats and newly adopted horses not to mention her husband all love your music. We are all so glad you do what you do. We are going to have to find our way to Deluth though now I wanna hear that 12 string LIVE and I've got partial carpool through IN. I can't even say how much that music does for my soul I'm just going to push play, and smile, breathe JUBILEE!

DEEP BLUES FESTIVAL	Nov 3 2008 3:45 PM We're putting up new music on our player each day. We're going through all the 2008 festival perfomers one more time on our way to the countdown for the 2009 festival. Today we're featuring CHARLIE PARR One of the real gems of Minnesota musicians. Charlie will be on the radio with a live performance this Wednesday on KFAI's House Party with Harold Tremblay. After that 5pm performance, the House Party moves to the 331 Club in nordeast Minneapolis for a 7pm to 9pm show. 40 Watt Bulb will then play the rest of the evening. Tune in and come on out for a great night music.

Whether i am 33 &(or) 67 "You cant win" it said to me. While waiting to understand what it meant, my Coffee's Gone Cold; nonetheless I find myself in Jubilee knowing that Jesus on the Mainline and I can tell him what I want. I wanna tell him about the 99 year blues who traveled on the V8 Ford Blues on a race to catch that Last Freight out of Asheville. Howeever I find myself lost in this album that carries me through each day in a great mood.
