The World's Music Here: The Cedar's 23rd Season on Google Maps
For a long time now, The Cedar's tagline has read "The World's Music Here." But where in the world do artists performing at The Cedar come from, and how would you quickly find that out? Now, with our new world map of The Cedar's 23rd season, you can see at a glance where our musicians come from.

Let's say your current passion is learning more about Hawaiian music and culture. You can instantly see that two markers have been placed in the region. Click on the marker on Honolulu, and you'll see that the performer is Jake Shimabukuro, and they are playing The Cedar on March 8. Click on the hyperlinked text in the box below (Jake Shimabukuro), and you'll be taken to the relevant event page on the Cedar's website for more information on the ukelele wiz, and to buy tickets.
As we move through the season, the map will be updated with new acts as they are booked (there are tons of goodies still to be announced). And to help you keep track of what shows are coming up versus those that have already happened, the place-markers for performers will change color to red after a show is over.
There are some limitations. For example, many groups play music other than that of the region they come from. Malamanya is marked on the map as coming from Minneapolis, yet they play Cuban Son. Your best bet to find such acts would be to click through on the tags already in place on the event pages on our website,
We hope you'll find this map useful as an easy way to discover and bring new music and cultures into your life.
