Open Stage with host Tony Wentersdorf. Tony is a Minneapolis musician, songwriter, and storyteller born in Germany, who has lived in the Twin Cities for 32 years. He writes and records songs, and performs folk music at churches, coffeehouses, and nursing homes as a soloist and with a folk music quartet, The Waxing Nostalgics. He has taught autoharp, guitar, banjo, and harmonica at various Minneapolis community schools and at The West Bank School of Music. Listen to a short performance by Tony. Then, take advantage of this great opportunity to put yourself on the Cedar stage, perform two or three songs, and enjoy the top-quality sound!
The Cedar Open Stage offers optional critiques of the participants by the host following the last performer. The supportive environment always attracts an interesting and talented assortment of participants. All are welcome, performers and audience members. Please support this season’s sponsors MBOTMA, (Minnesota Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association), Willie’s American Guitars and Hoffman Guitars, who through their generosity enable this event to be offered for FREE!
