Dan "Daddy Squeeze" Newton needs no introduction to the dance community. He is the founder and leader of at least half a dozen popular bands that have played at innumerable locations within the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. Additionally, he and his bands have performed at venues that, in recent times, include Sommerfest at  Orchestra Hall’s Peavey Plaza, Folk Festivals in Finland and Canada, International Accordion Festivals in Vienna and San Antonio, and The Mid-Summer Night Swing Series at Lincoln Center Plaza in New York City.  A full listing of bands, bios, past performances and more than 20 of his recordings can be found by visiting Dan’s website at  www.daddysqueeze.com.

They Gypsy Cafe Orchestra plays a variety of styles of different dance music, including  Musette, Swing, Foxtrot, Tango, Latin, and more.

The Cedar has hosted participatory dance events regularly since its inception 20 years ago. This past summer the sprung, wooden floor at the venue was re-finished for the first time since The Cedar opened its doors in March, 1989.

Tickets available at the door for $8 per person.
