The Cedar: 29 Years of Opening Doors

For 29 years, The Cedar has been opening doors to….

MUSIC

From world legends to up-and-coming new bands, The Cedar presents unique voices from around the globe in 250 shows and artist-led activities a year. With artists and audiences representing a range of genres, ages, and backgrounds, music is the common heartbeat of The Cedar community.

HISTORY

The Cedar emerged from the West Bank’s long history as a gateway for immigrants, a center for community organizing, and a bastion of folk music from many cultures. For 29 years, The Cedar has showcased the artists that shape our world through powerful messages of celebration, dissent, inspiration, and hope.

CONNECTION

Every year, The Cedar kicks off its season with our free three-day Global Roots Festival, a celebration of music and community that brings together diverse local and international artists. Throughout the year, our calendar of live music concerts is studded with educational programs, cross-cultural collaborations, campus-based projects, workshops, residencies, internships, youth leadership opportunities, and more. These experiences have the power to connect people, places, and perspectives to increase understanding of each other and our world.

YOUR commitment to The Cedar keeps the doors open to these experiences, year after year.

Will you make a contribution today?
