Dan Newton's Cafe Accordion Orchestra
Dan Newton's Cafe Accordion Orchestra
Dan Newton's Cafe Accordion Orchestra returns to the Cedar for their annual January concert. This year's show will feature a variety of favorites from their 10 recordings plus some new material as well. There will be plenty of French musette, Gypsy swing, Cumbia, American classics and movie music, plus a collaboration with guest ukulele artist Remco Houtman-Janssen, aka "Ukulelezaza". CAO members may even break out a few ukes of their own!
Remco Houtman-Janssen aka "Ukulelezaza" is one of the premier ukulele instrumentalists, a firm favorite in the European ukulele community and at the forefront of the ukulele revival for over ten years. His gentle touch, right hand wizardry and tasteful arrangements have inspired, and continue to inspire ukulele players worldwide. After successful concerts throughout Europe and tours in Australia and Japan, Zaza now aims at the ukulele scene in the US.

“One of the most complete uke players in the world today”
