One of the longest-running rock bands in the Twin Cities, Boiled in Lead, return for their anniversary performance at The Cedar! As a special part of this evening’s performance, BiL will perform a short acoustic set to open the night and then close the night with a full length amplified, electric performance.
BiL are Todd Menton (vocals, guitar), Drew Miller (bass), David Stenshoel (fiddle), and Michael Bissonnette (drums, percussion). With both an extensive catalog and fresh material bubbling under the surface, BiL take chances with the music, constantly looking for new ways to play music from Ireland, Appalachia, and elsewhere. Rock’n’reel... Punk-folk... Country music from many countries... BiL play fiddle, guitars, bass & drums with loads of power and emotion.
Boiled In Lead celebrate their longevity as a group by returning to The Cedar with an evening of loud Irish music. Starting on March 17, 1983 at the long-demolished punk rock venue The Upper Deck, BiL are one of the longest continually-active bands in town. Always reaching for new tunes (and new ways to play old tunes) tonight’s full evening of music is guaranteed to twist and turn from quiet to loud, folky to noisy, droning to danceable. Continue the journey!
