About Prairie Fire Lady Choir

Prairie Fire Lady Choir (PFLC) is a Twin Cities-based, a cappella singing group of sixty members who raise their collective voices across the state in support of art, community, and creativity. Formed in 2010, PFLC offers a supportive, fun, and educational environment to explore musical passions. The current repertoire includes covers from local artists Aby Wolf, Prince, The Replacements, Matt Latterell, and Chris Koza as well as original compositions from talented choir members. PFLC can also be heard singing unique arrangements of songs by national artists Leonard Cohen, Twisted Sister, Lucius, and Bikini Kill. The choir has performed at a wide variety of events and venues throughout the Twin Cities and Greater Minnesota.

About PaviElle

PaviElle is an amazing interdisciplinary artist, hailing from Rondo, a historically Black neighborhood in St. Paul, Minnesota. She is the recipient of an Upper Midwest Emmy Award as well as, a Sage Award for Dance and Choreography. She most recently has won an American Composers Forum Grant funded by the Jerome Foundation for her classical composition, A Requiem for Zula (2019) written in celebration of her Mother. She is known for her powerhouse vocals and performing with an equally powerful 6 piece band. PaviElle was voted as Minneapolis City Pages "Best R&B Vocalist of 2015", her band was named one of First Avenue's Best New Bands of 2015 and, was a featured artist on TPT's "Lowertown Line", 2015. PaviElle honed her craft as a teenager at Penumbra Theatre, SteppingStone Theatre and with collective, EduPoetic Enterbrainment. Growing up in a family steeped in music, she says that she wants to make music that honors and represents the Black Arts aesthetic.
