Minneapolis/St. Paul-based band Alma Andina combines traditional instruments from South America such as the pan flutes, charango, and bombo, among others to perform in an array of Latin styles such as Cumbia, Salsa, Guajira, Reggaeton, Reggae, and more. This "Electro Andean Party" brings a mix of musical flavors and rhythms, inviting the community to dance, party, meet new people and cultures, and ultimately, to feel free and unified. Ten year veterans on the scene, Alma Andina are always evolving their instrumentation, line up, and sound. Their diverse line up of musicians includes Vladimir Garrido and Nicolas Muñoz from Chile, Miguel Gonzales of Mexico, Fernando Quiñones from Puerto Rico, and Lewis Hill II, Zach Eyl, and Zack Lewis from the USA.
To celebrate the release of their new album, Alma Andina will be joined by very special touring opener, Los Rolling Ruanas. Hailing from Bogota, Colombia—a place that oozes music creativity—Los Rolling Ruanas came to destroy preconceptions and, loyal to their legacy, put rural back in rock ‘n’ roll. Yeah, rural! Their sound is a tribute to Colombian Andean peasants, their culture, and their music, Carranga. They take the typical acoustic instruments of the genre and make them rock harder than ever!
