The Cedar’s mission is to promote intercultural appreciation and understanding through the presentation of global music. The Cedar is committed to artistic excellence and integrity, diversity  of programming, support for emerging artists, and community outreach. Our organization is committed to the principles of Community Centric Fundraising.

Organizational Background

The Cedar is a nonprofit arts organization located in the Cedar Riverside neighborhood of Minneapolis. Pre-COVID-19, our annual budget was $2 million, and we typically served 60,000 people per year. We reopened for live performances in August of 2021 and are continuing to welcome back audiences and build out a full calendar of shows.

The Cedar Cultural Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is deeply committed to maintaining a diverse workforce that reflects its stewardship of global music, relationships, and community. Expansive thinking and cultural collaboration make The Cedar better. Indigenous people and people of color are encouraged to apply.
