Colombia Live
Colombia Live is the only nonprofit organization in Minnesota dedicated to promoting the richness of Colombian culture through dance. Since 2001, we have supported and cultivated Colombian art and culture while working to improve the image of Colombia.
Colombia Live develops dancers that serve as Minnesotan-Colombian cultural ambassadors, passing on traditions and creating awareness of the enormous natural wealth, richness in culture, and beauty that characterize Colombia. Through dance, we teach about heritage, instill pride in diversity, and build stronger identities. Our community welcomes dancers of all ages and ethnicities, giving them the opportunity to flourish, grow in self-esteem, and carry Colombian traditions into the future.
For this occasion, Colombia Live is honored to open the stage for the incredible Colombian singer Nidia Góngora. Just like Nidia brings the sounds of the Pacific coast to life through her voice, our dancers will celebrate those same rhythms and traditions through movement. It is a privilege for us to set the tone for the evening and share a glimpse of the vibrant folkloric legacy that unites us.
