ABOUT THIS SHOW
Celebrated singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and long-lost Christmas elf Ben Cook-Feltz hosts his 6th annual Holiday Shindig on December 13, a family-friendly event benefiting Rein In Sarcoma. The show will feature seasonal classics, playful and unique spins on holiday favorites, and selections from his 2020 release, Merry BCF-ing Christmas!
In addition to Cook-Feltz and his all-star band (including members of Turn Turn Turn, the Wild Colonial Bhoys and Brent Fuqua), the show will feature music from celebrated jazz artist Leslie Vincent and beloved folk duo Johnson & Drake, as well as guest appearances by Mary Bue, Katy Vernon, the OK Factor, Jason Roberts, Mother Banjo and others. There will be singalongs, tap dancing, and for the fifth year running, a Christmas salute to Ozzy Osborne.
A 30+ year sarcoma cancer survivor, Ben is honored to donate 100% of the event’s proceeds to Rein In Sarcoma, a nonprofit offering support and resources to those affected by sarcoma cancers.
Ben Cook-Feltz
Described by Iowa Public Radio as "Paul Simon singing songs about broken hearts and pants," Ben Cook-Feltz is a singer, songwriter, keyboardist and occasional drummer. Combining observational, subtly quirky lyrics with melodies that hearken back to the classic sounds of the 60′s and 70′s, he has been entertaining audiences throughout the Midwest as a dynamic performer, whether playing solo, with his crackerjack band, or backing up some of the finest regional talent (Mother Banjo, Haley E Rydell, Jaspar Lepak). His most recent record, Cook-Feltz Sings Son of Schmilsson, was released in August 2025 and was hailed as “expertise and precision at its finest; art with a limitless sense of fun” (Adventures in Americana). When not indulging in his rockstar delusions, Cook-Feltz is a devoted father, cycling enthusiast and lifelong Godzilla fan.
Leslie Vincent
Jazz songwriter and vocalist Leslie Vincent's lyrical creativity, rich alto tone, and magnetic stage presence have elevated her in the Minnesota music scene in recent years. Her band creates award-winning tunes; her latest album, Little Black Book, was featured in The Star Tribune as one of the Top Albums of The Year. She's a huge fan of BCF and is ecstatic to be on this bill.
Johnson & Drake
Long before Prince, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and Morris Day put the Minnesota music scene on the map, folk/pop duo Johnson & Drake were among the many bands working hard to get heard in the frozen, forgotten north. Getting their start in the 1970s at the University of Minnesota, Tom Johnson and Guy Drake toured nationally for years, performing with some of the world’s biggest acts, including Jim Croce, Earth, Wind & Fire, Linda Ronstadt, REO Speedwagon, Rick Nelson, Ray Stevens, John Hartford and Bonnie Raitt. After a couple decades long break raising families and pursuing other careers, the duo recently reunited – re-releasing some of their earlier recordings, playing shows and writing new songs. In December 2025, they released We Loved Our Freedom – their first new album of originals in over 40 years. They're already working on the next one.
