After a successful run of shows to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the store, Extreme Noise is back for one blow out show at the Cedar. This year’s show features long running Tokyo legends LiFE, alongside Blazing Eye, Destruct, Alement, HOPE?, and Giallo.

LiFE (Tokyo, Japan)
LiFE is one of the longest running crust bands in Japan, having started in 1991. They remain incredibly active and prolific to this day, playing countless gigs in Japan and across the world, still creating the most raw, uncompromising political hardcore punk music. Their third LP “Ossification of Coral” is a modern classic and their most recent release “To Stop The Conflict” split 12” shows no sign of slowing down.
This is the first time LiFE has come to the United States and should not be missed.

BLAZING EYE (LOS ANGELES, LA)
Hailing from Los Angeles BLAZING EYE sound lies somewhere between ZOUO, THE SEXUAL and QLOAQA LETAL. That is Japanese inspired hardcore punk with demonic vocals and hard as nail beats which is extremely hard to shake once you hear it.
These LA punk veterans have been the focal point of the LA raw punk scene for more than a decade and are finally playing live in Minneapolis.

DESTRUCT (RICHMOND, VA)
Destruct are back for their second year in a row playing an Extreme Noise show at the Cedar, not just because they take up the second side of the “To Stop The Conflict” split with LiFE and are touring with their Japanese split mates, but because they delivered one of the best and most enthusiastically received sets of last years show.

ALEMENT (PHILADELPHIA, PA)
Alement have been quietly creating the greatest classic crust music North America has ever hosted for over a decade. A favorite for fans of the classic British style of the genre the world over, the last few years, and the release of their stellar “Banished Sphere” LP has seen the band finally receiving the broader praise and attention they have always deserved.

HOPE? (Portland, OR/ Minneapolis, MN)
HOPE? has existed, with a variety of lineups, playing music that harkens back to the scene that existed around Minneapolis punk collective, zine, and label Profane Existence. Starting in 2023, the recent line up has added two Minneapolis members next to the founding guitar player and vocalist and the band has found a new energy and honed its identity. New recordings are to be released soon, but in the meantime this will be a chance to see the new lineup and hear where the band is heading next.
