ABOUT THIS SHOW
Born and raised in Bergen, Norway, Sondre Lerche first came to fame as a teenager with the release of his critically acclaimed indie-pop debut Faces Down. Lerche’s 11th studio album, Acrobats, is an eight-song suite that pingpongs between joy and introspection, loss and love.
SONDRE LERCHE
Sondre Lerche has always been a romantic. Whether it be the songs he wrote as a teen for his critically acclaimed 2001 debut, Faces Down, or starring as the love-lorn Christian in the Norwegian stage production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical. In 2026, though, his love of, well, love is shot through with a kind of defiance.
“There’s a dissonance between the increasingly dystopian world we live in and finding beauty and peace in your private life,” he says. “It feels almost like a paradox that I’m blessed to have landed in a life and a love that is very meaningful and true. And, at the same time, it feels impossible to write a love song without taking into account the terrible things that are happening in the world.”
The result is Lerche’s 11th studio album, Acrobats, an eight-song suite that pingpongs between joy and introspection, loss and love. Recorded across nine studios with a gaggle of creatives, it’s a perhaps more sobering followup up 2022’s Avatars of Love — although no less brimming with passion.
“If there’s one theme to this album, I suppose it is finding love in times of great unrest and hopelessness," Lerche says. And that’s precious.
Dosh
Martin Dosh has been making independent music out of his basement in Minneapolis, and around the world, for 30 years.
He first came to acclaim with his self titled debut on Anticon in 2003. As he continued making Dosh records, of which there are many, he also joined forces with Andrew Bird, whom he played and recorded with from 2005-2014. His live performances are often solo, combining drums, samplers, synths and Rhodes.
One of the earliest pioneers of live looping, he continues to record and perform, layering melodies and drones over acoustic and electronic beats. His latest LP, Tomorrow 1972, features Jeff Parker and Dan Bitney (Tortoise), Bird, Mike Lewis (Bon Iver, Happy Apple), Tobacco, The Nunnery, and many others.
He has opened shows for the likes of Sylvan Esso, Tune-Yards, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Makaya McCraven, Bizhiki, Tim Hecker, and Death Grips, to name just a few. HIs music is hard to pin down: a genre-less, percussive hybrid of electronic, hip-hop and jazz.
He has recently joined up with Zak Sally of Low for <MASS>, played drums for his old bud Shahzad Ismaily at the walker in nov of '25 and recorded an LP with John Dietreich of Deerhoof that will presumably be out at some point soon. The next proper dosh Lp should be out sometime in 2029. god willing
