THE SOUND OF BRITTANY - WHERE VOICE MEETS ACCORDION

From the heart of Brittany comes a duo redefining traditional sound. Accordionist Tangi Le Gall-Carré, founding member of the iconic band Startijenn and a key figure of the Breton scene for decades, joins singer and actress Typhaine Corre, whose expressive voice and stage presence bring rare depth and emotion to every performance.

As interest in folk dance, bal folk, and Celtic-inspired music continues to grow across the U.S., their music resonates perfectly with today’s audiences: authentic, emotional, and deeply alive. Blending poetry, voice, and the rich textures of diatonic accordion, they create a sound that is both ancestral and contemporary where tradition meets new influences and unexpected colors.

On stage, their connection is immediate, moving effortlessly between intimacy and intensity, drawing audiences in from the very first note. Their debut album Gouloù mil steredenn (“The Light of a Thousand Stars”) is a journey through language, sound, and emotion carried by two artists deeply rooted in tradition yet open to the world. A rare and captivating experience! Produced by Paker Prod, brought to Minnesota thanks to Monark Productions.
