Get Involved

The Cedar Cultural Center is a volunteer-driven, 501c3 non-profit organization that presents live music performances in all genres.

Want to get involved? Here's how you can help:

Come to shows Every ticket sold means more earned revenue and a stronger financial position for The Cedar. What’s more, well-attended shows demonstrate that The Cedar is successfully serving our community. Head over to Events for a complete listing of our upcoming shows.

Bring your friends to shows A larger number of people who know about The Cedar means more people who will potentially buy tickets and donate to the organization. A strong community of supporters also means a larger number of volunteers, advocates, and connections that could benefit the work of The Cedar.

Donate Ticket sales only cover about 46% of The Cedar’s operating costs; the rest of the money we need to run our organization comes from charitable donations. We ask our patrons to think about making a donation to The Cedar every year, and any amount helps. Click here to make your 2010 donation.

Volunteer at Events The Cedar is a volunteer-driven organization. The people who set up the hall, sell tickets at the door, pour beer, sell the CDs, and clean up after the events are all volunteers. We couldn’t do it without them! To sign up for an orientation, contact Jason at jkoffman@thecedar.org.

Join a committee Cedar board and staff have identified specific strategies to keep the organization vital, true to its mission, and most critically, alive during this turbulent economic time. The Cedar is seeking volunteers from the community to serve on committees. Contact Adrienne at adorn@thecedar.org for more information.

Be a Cedar Advocate We hope to leverage our community of supporters to “get the word out” about The Cedar and our programming. Spreading the word about The Cedar helps to grow our community of patrons, donors, and volunteers. Bring Cedar newsletters to parties, forward show announcements that you receive from our enewsletter list, or inform a friend about an upcoming Cedar event.

Contact your state legislators and encourage them to support the arts.
