Grammy Week at The Cedar!
Congratulations to Dan Wilson, winner of the 2007 Grammy Award for Song of the Year ("Not Ready to Make Nice" co-written with The Dixie Chicks), and to Keoki Kahumoku, who contributed a track to the Hawaiian Music Album Grammy 2007 winning album (Legends of Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar -- Live From Maui). Dan Wilson's Valentine's Day show at The Cedar has SOLD OUT, but a limited supply of tickets remain for Keoki's appearance with Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar Festival at The Cedar 2/17/07. Notably, the other members of the Festival won Hawaiian Music Grammys in 2005.

The Cedar Names New Executive Director
(Minneapolis, February 1, 2007): The Cedar Cultural Center, a non-profit music venue in Minneapolis which has been operating since 1989, has named Robert Simonds as its new Executive Director, effective February 1, 2007. Bill Kubeczko, who has served as Executive and Artistic Director at the Cedar since 1993, will continue as Artistic Director, enabling him to provide a greater focus on programming and booking.
