Welcoming New Staff and Board Members to The Cedar

The Cedar is pleased to announce that we have added new staff and board members! These staffing additions are aligned with an organization-wide visioning session we did in October 2022, coalescing our hopes for the direction of The Cedar and distilling them into actionable items: one of which was building new audiences for the amazing artists we present here.

The Cedar welcomes Sam Ray, Kama Johnson, Bo Young An, Mitch Bercier, Emily Lazear, and Paul McCoyer to the organization. Find downloadable photos of all new staff members here.

In the office we are welcoming Bo Young An as Marketing and Promotions Associate, and Mitch Bercier as Digital Data Associate. These two join the marketing and promotions team to continue spreading the word about our colorful and ever-relevant programming.

At the front of house, new faces you will see at shows include House Managers Emily Lazear, Kama Johnson, Sam Ray, and Paul McCoyer. These four join the events team and help ensure the safety, comfort, and joy of audiences during our Cedar performances!

Finally, at the end of 2022 we introduced three new members to The Cedar’s board of directors, each one bringing unique expertise, passion, and leadership skills that our organization needs to deliver on its mission of using global music and dance to promote intercultural appreciation. Welcome MohammedAmin Kahin, Garret McQueen, and Robert Van Nelson, to the board.

“Broadening The Cedar’s community through additions of these staff and board members is exciting and energizing,” says Executive Director Michelle Woster. “When we increase our team we increase our bandwidth to support and uphold our mission.”
