ABOUT THIS SHOW

The Fanoos Ensemble features four brilliant Afghan musicians who are unable to perform inside Afghanistan today, as the Taliban has banned all music. Now living in the US, the ensemble performs a revue of Afghan culture through music.

FANOOS ENSEMBLE

“Echoes Of Afghanistan” is a beautiful blend of traditional Afghan music and western harmonies that creates unique and mesmerizing sounds. “Echoes of Afghanistan” consists of 8 original tracks. Produced by Fanoos Ensemble, they wrote all of the songs except for the third track, “Gada-e-Ishq,” (Beggar of Love), which is composed by Qasem Rameshgar, who is one of the most respected musicians in the country, and who exclusively composed this song for Ahmad Fanoos, the ensemble’s vocalist and harmonium player. “Echoes Of Afghanistan” debuted on the Transglobal World Music Chart recently in the 34th position & the 24th position, respectively 2 months in a row, and it stayed on the WRIR World Music Charts for over 2 months as well. In addition to the audio recording of the album being available on all the streaming platforms, all 8 tracks have been video recorded as well, (See Video Links Below). “Echoes Of Afghanistan” will leave everyone who hears it with a newfound appreciation for this wonderful country, Afghanistan.
