[DECLASSIFIED] Noise Party is the Twin Cities’ premiere experimental music showcase, highlighting independent artists from the metro area and beyond. Now on its 15th edition, this volume of Noise Party pulls no punches in further expressing what a live music experience can be. By combining six otherworldly musicians and live improvised visual projections, Noise Party is like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. Featuring two continuous unique parts with an intermission dividing the evening, be sure to come early and grab a seat, relax, and become immersed in the world of Noise Party. i once knew a ghost
i once knew a ghost is the ambient/noise project of visual artist, musician, and Noise Party co-founder Shane Donahue (Radiator Girl). Utilizing samples and live synthesizers, i once knew a ghost focuses on the dark and nightmarish side of the human psyche, while also blending in intimate moments of softness and nostalgia. In 2023 i once knew a ghost released his debut album thieves.
Not Yet All Things
Not Yet All Things is an experimental dance and ambient/drone duo focusing on live performances
YYY
YYY (who will be playing a production set), is the moniker of Austin Carson, a Minneapolis-based songwriter, producer and composer. In his solo production sets, YYY creates evolving worlds with lightning fast break-beats, intimate piano, and nostalgic synth textures that make his computerless setup less of a track-player and more of a conduit of pure inspiration. For fans of: Four Tet, Actress, and Goldie.
Dosh + Naoise
Father and son duo Martin and Naoise Dosh. Both create unique strains of electronic music. Martin (better known as just Dosh) has been using looping, shimmering rhodes and live drums for over two decades to create inviting and uplifting soundscapes. Naoise programs frenetic breakbeat music and MIDI/sound collages. They team up for a foray into a more droney and darker sound.
